Between St John’s and 1st Purley Scout Troop 1 1/2 kilos of stamps collected between September and January including a number of collector stamps have been sent off this week to the Bone Marrow Research Trust. This equates to a minimum of £30 and 1 1/2hrs of life saving research. Brilliant given stamps would have probably just been thrown away with the envelope.
Huge thanks to everyone supporting the charity
Please save your stamps for me, useful guide:
- Any stamps (modern more valuable, old ones are pre-2008), foreign ones accepted please keep separate
- Minimise amount of card/paper attached, good guide is finger width (1cm) all the way round
- No pre-printed labels
Please place in the plastic tub at the back of the church
Thank you
